Abarth is owned by Stellantis, a multinational automotive group. The brand, originally founded by Carlo Abarth in 1949, was acquired by the Fiat Group in 1971. Since then, ownership has stayed within Fiat and, following a series of corporate mergers, Abarth is now fully under the Stellantis umbrella through its Italian subsidiary. Stellantis was formed in 2021 as a result of the merger between Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) and PSA Group, and now controls 100% of Abarth & C. S.p.A.[1][3][6]
