Disneyland Paris is now fully owned by The Walt Disney Company, which acquired complete control over the operations, management, and financial aspects of the resort in 2017[1]. The operating company, Euro Disney S.A.S., is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company and is responsible for the day-to-day management of Disneyland Paris, located in Marne-la-Vallée, France[2].
Initially, Disneyland Paris was developed and managed by Euro Disney S.C.A., a publicly listed French company established through an agreement between The Walt Disney Company and French authorities in 1987[2]. In June 2017, Disney secured over 97% ownership of Euro Disney S.C.A. through a buyout process, triggering a mandatory purchase of remaining shares and thereby allowing Disney to take the company private and assume full ownership[3][6]. This transition made Disneyland Paris the only Disney theme park resort outside the United States to be wholly owned by The Walt Disney Company, as other international Disney resorts are operated through joint ventures or licensing agreements[6].
Following the takeover, The Walt Disney Company pledged significant investments toward the continued development and transformation of Disneyland Paris, including a €2 billion expansion of its Walt Disney Studios Park[3][4][7].
