The EuroMillions lottery is owned and operated by a consortium of state-licensed lottery operators from participating countries. The operational structure does not involve a single owner; instead, each national lottery operator runs EuroMillions within its own jurisdiction, coordinated through a joint company called Services aux Loteries en Europe (SLE) which provides services to its shareholder lottery operators[4].
These shareholder operators include:
- La Française des Jeux (France)
- Loterías y Apuestas del Estado (Spain)
- Camelot UK Lotteries Limited (UK) — now part of Allwyn, which acquired Camelot in 2023[3]
- Premier Lotteries Ireland DAC (Ireland)
- Belgian National Lottery
- Austrian Lotteries
- Betgames (Luxembourg)
- Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa (Portugal)
- Swisslos and Loterie Romande (Switzerland)
Each participating country’s official operator manages ticket sales, prize payments, and local regulation, while draws and jackpot pools are coordinated collaboratively among all members[6]. SLE, based in Belgium, facilitates services, but does not itself hold EuroMillions’ ownership rights—the rights remain with the individual national operators[4].
