Europcar is owned by Green Mobility Holding S.A., a consortium led by the Volkswagen Group, Attestor, and Pon Holdings, which acquired the company in July 2022[2]. Green Mobility Holding completed its acquisition after European Commission approval, and the consortium proceeded to delist Europcar Mobility Group to accelerate the company’s transformation[3][6].
As of April 2025, the CEO of Europcar Mobility Group is Sebastian Birkel[4][5].
