Evri UK is primarily owned by Apollo Global Management, a US-based private equity firm. Apollo acquired the majority stake in Evri from Advent International in a deal valued at approximately £2.7 billion, with the transaction expected to close in the third quarter of 2024[1][2][3]. Prior to this, Evri (formerly the UK operations of Hermes) was owned mainly by Advent International and Otto Group, with Otto holding a minority share that will also be divested following the sale to Apollo[4].
As of May 2025, Evri is set to merge with DHL eCommerce’s UK arm. As a result of this merger, DHL Group will acquire a significant minority stake in Evri; however, Apollo will remain the majority owner of the combined business, which will continue to operate under the Evri Group name[3][5][6][7].
