Londis in the United Kingdom is owned by Tesco through its subsidiary, Booker Group, following Tesco’s acquisition of Booker in 2018[1]. Londis operates as a symbol group with over 2,200 stores and forecourt shops throughout England, Scotland, and Wales, all supplied and franchised under the Booker Group’s management[6].
In Ireland, however, Londis is independent of its UK counterpart and is owned by BWG Foods UC. BWG Foods operates the Londis brand and manages over 360 franchise stores across Ireland[2][4]. The Irish Londis brand has no corporate connection to the UK Londis, aside from sharing the brand name.
