Who Owns Green Flag

Green Flag is owned by NatWest Group. It was acquired by NatWest (formerly RBS Group) on October 8, 1999^[1]. Green Flag operates as part of the Direct Line Group, which was part of the RBS/NatWest Group until its stock market flotation in 2012; however, Green Flag remains under NatWest Group’s ownership structure^[7].

The immediate controlling entity of Green Flag Limited is Green Flag Group Limited, which owns more than 75% of the voting rights and has the right to appoint or remove directors^[2][5]. Green Flag Group Limited is, in turn, controlled by the wider NatWest Group.
