Company Ownership
Company ownership profiles for UK and international businesses, each built from Companies House filings and primary corporate sources, and each dated so you know how current it is.
Find a company ownership profile
Every profile answers one question directly: who owns this company today. It names the parent, the ultimate controlling party where there is one, and the shareholders or people with significant control that matter — then shows the records that establish it.
How company ownership is verified
Each claim rests on at least one primary source, and on two where the structure is complex or contested. We use the register and the filings rather than secondary reporting, and where sources conflict we say so rather than picking the neater answer. Every profile carries the date its ownership was last verified, because an undated ownership claim is close to useless.
Companies House and PSC records
Two filings do most of the work. The PSC register records people with significant control — over 25% of shares or votes, the power to appoint or remove the board, or significant influence by other means — in bands rather than exact figures. The confirmation statement lists actual shareholdings, including holders below the PSC threshold.
Neither is independently audited. Companies House records what companies file and states plainly that it does not verify most of it, so material claims are corroborated against accounts or company disclosures.
Parent companies and ultimate owners
Where a controlling party is itself a company, it is recorded as a relevant legal entity, and that entity can be followed upward. Chains of several companies are ordinary — holding company, trading subsidiary, financing vehicle — and the second link is rarely the final answer.
The chain ends at a listed plc, a fund, a family holding company, or the edge of the UK register. Listed companies often have no controlling owner at all, and where that is the case we say so rather than promoting the largest institutional shareholder into an “owner”.

Profiles are ordered by search demand. If a company you need is missing, it may sit under a brand, bank or media section instead — ownership questions frequently cross those boundaries.
